Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• —Design enclosures, internal structures, and mechanisms that balance performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• —Drive DFM and DFA decisions with suppliers and manufacturing partners from prototype builds through tooling release.
• —Build and evaluate prototypes through rapid fabrication, EVT/DVT/PVT learnings, and hands-on test setups.
• —Collaborate with electrical, embedded, operations, and design teammates to turn product intent into production-ready hardware.

What we are looking for

• —Deep experience shipping consumer or other high-volume hardware through manufacturing ramp.
• —Expert proficiency in 3D CAD and mechanical documentation for suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• —Strong command of tolerancing, materials, stack-ups, fastening strategies, and common manufacturing processes.
• —Willingness to work between Shenzhen and San Francisco as needed.

Nice to have

• —Experience with tooling kickoff, fixture design, or assembly-line validation.
• —Familiarity with simulation tools (FEA, thermal analysis).
• —Experience working directly with CM, tooling, and reliability partners in Asia.
